Maui Brewing Company

First day after arriving on Maui, a trip to the Maui Brewing Company was first on my to do list!

This small brewery brews and cans all within the walls of their modest brewery on Maui. With a core focus of making exceptional beer using local ingredients in a sustainable manner this brewery checks all the boxes for the craft beer enthusiast.

Upon arrival at the brewery you immediately get a sense of the laid back and easy going atmosphere 

It was nice to see that Maui had been collaborating with some old friends from Southern California, unfortunately none of the collaboration was available to taste :(

The brewery tour was outstanding and is highly recommended.   Our guide elaborated on the use of local ingredients, including roasted coconut and how the used grains are delivered to local farmers as feed for livestock. It was also interesting to hear about the unique problems associated with brewing in such a hot and humid climate. The best part of the tour, the tasting . . . .

The taste was exceptional, so good in fact that we had to stay for more including what ended up being my personal favorite of the trip, Aloha Baktun (Limited Release).
